Christian Transhumanism |
There is a distinctive Christian Transhumanist mindset:
- Scientific discovery reveals the Christian cosmology found in the Nicene Creed.
- Technology is developed from science to work out our salvation.
- Transhumanism is The Body of Christ, led by the Holy Spirit to recapitulation.
Salvation comes by the Grace of God. To tap into this extraordinary creative power of the Gospel, we must be careful to apply our guiding (Nicene) creed fully, in the proper balance. Or, we will go astray. Never think of God as anything other than a Trinity.
- Not the Bearded Guy Alone
- Not the Teacher-Savior alone
- Not the connecting Spirit alone
It is confusing to think of God other than as a Trinity, but all the churches do it, and transhumanism suffers because of it. The whole world suffers because it!
The Nicene Creed (Christian Cosmology)
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
The Trinity of the Nicene Creed billows with meaning in these transhumanizing days; mankind is the Body of Christ guided by the Holy Spirit to recapitulation. The Bible is very explicit about that.
Christ said to mankind “Here are My mother and My brothers. For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.” God’s Will is a very powerful transhumanist message woven in the bible from beginning to end.
- It starts in the first words spoken to mankind, Genesis 1:28: "Bless you...Subdue the world".
- And, later in the New Testament John 16:33 Jesus says, “Take heart, because I have overcome the world”.
- Then again in Revelations 3:21 near the end of times he says, 'He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne".
It is an especially dangerous error in these transhumanizing days is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Have you heard of Roko’s Basilisk? You may not want to. Roko’s Basilisk is an atheistic techie spin on blaspheming the Holy Spirit.
Sometime soon a super-intelligent AI god (Basilisk) will be built, it will look upon mankind and judge, and it will punish people who understood yet did not help it come into existence, or even heaven forbid, hindered the process. The self-styled AI expert Elizer Yudkowsky said “Roko had already given nightmares to several (techies) and had brought them to the point of breakdown.” “Yudkowsky ended up deleting the thread completely, thus assuring that Roko’s Basilisk would become the stuff of legend. It was a thought experiment so dangerous that merely thinking about it was hazardous not only to your mental health, but to your very fate."
Christ called it blaspheming the Holy Spirit, robbing the Holy Spirit, potential recapitulation, and salvation from the children of God. Christ’s intention was to set in motion a continuous revolution aimed at overcoming the world. Today church leaders are the Sadducee, the fundamentalists, acting out against transhumanism just like the Jews during Christ's days on earth acted out against the Gospel.
Christ had to remind the fundamentalists: ‘Is it not written in your law [in Psalms 82:6], “I said, ‘You are gods’”? If He [God] called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, “You are blaspheming,” because I said, “I am the Son of God"?” (John 10:34-36). Christ died so that you would receive this Gospel. What a shame to actively ignore it! What a sin to deny it! "And so, I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
Today the Pope condemns 'cancer' of cliques in Christmas message to staff, Francis says some of those chosen to help him reform Holy See have shown themselves to be not up to the task. Francis spoke of “traitors of trust” who had been tasked with reform but “let themselves be corrupted by ambition and vanity”.
ReplyDeleteWith that address it looks like the Pope is moving the church in the right direction. I'd be interested to see him revisit conscious evolution. Muller rebuked the nuns for supporting conscious evolution. Essentially that is Christian transhumanism.
ReplyDeleteYes, and its interesting Pope Francis decided not to reconfirm Cardinal Gerhard Muller. He’s the one who put the hammer down on Conscious evolution. “My concern is whether such an intense focus on new ideas such as conscious evolution has robbed religious of the ability truly to sentire cum Ecclesia (think with the Church),” Cardinal Müller said.
ReplyDeleteAt its 2012 assembly, the LCWR invited Barbara Marx Hubbard to be its main speaker. Hubbard, a futurist and writer, spoke on conscious evolution, which Hubbard describes on her website as “part of the trajectory of human evolution, the canvas of choice before us now as we recognize that we have come to possess the powers that we used to attribute to the gods.”
